Carolina Wren

Two Carolina Wrens live in a mobile made from coconut shell that hangs on our deck. They always leave early in the morning and return just before dusk, so lighting is poor. With a flash, I was able to take the shot above. I'm going to try again with a higher ISO, but this is the best I've been able to get so far. Seen here, the wren is perched on a clay pot.

This sapling barely reached two feet. Discovered at Pedernales Falls State park in early December, 2005.

Log in Onion Creek

Sunset at McKinney Falls illuminated this half-submerged log and provided reflections of clouds in the water.

Copper the fish

Copper is our pet Betta. Pictured here he is resting in his condo. At present he is nearly three years old, which in Betta years is pushing the envelope. I heard this species of fish has a four second memory.
